It is my third official day in Jeju, and I am again looking to the ocean from the hotel lobby. I have been thinking that I would like to walk to the main area in Aewol, the fishing village (salt) is in.

(salt) from the outside, with beautiful stone

I am especially excited to be here because it feels like Jeju has so many aspects that resonate with me: wind, water, fishing, stone, sun. There are also a lot of women here apparently, also the haenyeo (women divers). I am interested in the feminine aspect of Jeju, too. Speaking of feminine, I have heard the moon plays a special role here. On the plane trip here, I finished a book called Stone House on Jeju Island: Improvising Life Under a Healing Moon by Brenda Paik Sunoo, recommended by my friend David. I took lots of screenshots (I read it on my phone), some of which I look forward to weaving into the presentation I am preparing today for my presentation before my workshop on Saturday...
