Elliott just left Japan this morning. Goodbye Elliott!

When Elliott was here, we filmed a few commercials together. We started with a commercial for the Pomera DM30 and then started having ideas for other commercials.

Pomera 1

This is the first commercial we created, in a sort of funny style. The shirt I am wearing oddly fits well here... it's alive and green but still business-like.

Pomera 2

After that, Elliott was playing with words and thought maybe the word "pomera" actually meant a good thought. So ideally, whenever you had a pomera (maybe while walking in nature, where they like to hang out), you would quickly grab your Pomera DM30 from your tote bag and quickly type away. So that's how this second Pomera DM30 commercial was born:

Color Chat

And finally, we just put this one together last night. I wanted to create a commercial for Color Chat, Soft's forthcoming app that's been in beta for a while, actually for my Seoul exhiition. (I am presenting a long silent how-to video, and one of the curators suggested I break it up with two commercials.) Anyway, Elliott took this shot of me looking over a bridge. There is a businessman down there smoking near the river, and the way the frame is composed, it looks like I could be staring at him and vice-versa. Maybe we are color chatting with our clothes. So that's how this came about. Also, thanks to Kaz for voicing the mysterious businessman:

Now that Elliott is gone, as well as his camera and good sense for composition, I'm a little sad. I have ideas for other commercials and even TV shows (wouldn't a pe hu TV be cool?), but I am feeling a little limited. I might buy a camera soon (I actually bought a field recorder the other day), but part of me feels I also simply need another good sensed human being like Elliott too. Maybe I cam make friends? That's the dream...

Some ideas for other commercials:

- magic ring (pe hu's favorite toy)

- glass of water

- more Pomera commercials (I feel there are so many fun metaphors to play with for Pomera. I also recently was Google Translating some interviews conducted in Japanese on King Jim's website. One person said their Pomera was actually like a kind of mirror.)

- Oracle Clock (shhh forthcoming app)
